Shooting the iconic landscapes of Wiltshire provides great subject matter for any location photographer. Located in the South West of England, Wiltshire boasts a wide selection of photogenic locations that will appeal to all landscape photographers and is one of Jeremy’s favourite and most visited areas of the UK.

For those searching for a more dynamic and dramatic landscape, the magnificent white chalk horses carved into the hillsides offer a bold and striking subject. These ancient figures stand out against the undulating landscape and can create bold and unique compositions, especially with the looming dark clouds of an approaching storm or an early morning veil of mist.

One of the most famous landmarks in Wiltshire is Avebury stone circle, a prehistoric monument that offers a unique opportunity for capturing a mixture of history and nature. The giant, mysterious ancient stones set against the changing light on the Wiltshire downs create a timeless and dramatic subject for any photographer.

Beyond Avebury, Wiltshire is home to big views and rolling hills, interspersed with ancient monuments, iron age hillforts, lush green fields, and winding country lanes. The ancient royal hunting forest of Savernake, home to trees over a thousand years old and carpeted with Bluebells as far as the eye can see in early spring, is a sight to behold on a misty morning at dawn.

Whether it's the golden light of sunrise casting a warm glow over the fields and woods or the moody atmosphere of a mist-covered hillside, Wiltshire's landscapes offer endless opportunities for landscape photographers to showcase their creativity and skill. 15.00 on Monday 28th April until 12.00 on Thursday 1st May 2025.

Location

Your three night’s accommodation in a hotel in Marlborough will include a full daily breakfast. You will however be responsible for settling any room extras including your bar bill!

Requirements

• Warm waterproof clothing and good footwear are essential as a degree of walking may be required, and unfortunately, we cannot guarantee the weather.

• Transport will be provided to all the locations, but please make your own way to the hotel on the Monday.

• Please bring your own camera equipment and tripod.

• A reasonable degree of physical fitness is required as some locations may involve a short walk on rough terrain.

• Insurance is not included. Please make sure you have appropriate travel and medical insurance.
